It just wouldn't be Spring Training without a federal investigation superficially involving A-Rod

I guess it would’ve been too much to ask to get through a Spring Training without A-Rod being in the middle of some sort of completely blown-out-of-proportion controversy. This time, Alex may be questioned by federal agents about a Canadian doctor who is under investigation for alleged drug violations.

My apologizes for even giving this any credence. Hopefully camp will get more interesting when they finally start playing tomorrow afternoon.

  1. As a chronic A-Rod apologist, I have a real fear that his involvement in this investigation will become less and less 'superficial'

  2. Jose Reyes was also involved in the investigation and Tiger Woods as well. Hopefully this is just a wide net the Feds are casting.

  3. do the Feds have anything they've done recently they need to distract us from? You know, in a, "Hey, don't worry about those problems, we're going back to the moon. And Mars. That's right: Mars, bitches."
On the other hand, wouldn't be surprised if there turned out to be any truth to this. But, either way, my official line on this is, "Yawn." Just don't care.

  4. Also, the timing seems a bit shady; seems strange that this breaks now, right when spring training starts. Now it'll get max coverage as opposed to say if it broke in January.
