I don't make this comparison to trivialize what happened to the woman at the game (or what might happen some day), but we all saw last night what happens when Baseball ignores a readily-available solution to a risk that doesn't need to be taken.
That's sorta fair, Josh.
Unfortunately, as you are well aware of covering the McCourts, there's more to the mess than we see.
The IR discussion addresses the 'human element' of the game, the history, the Unions, etc. The bats have to address things like exclusivity and other sorts of things that created the roadblock that keeps an easy, cheap and ready to implement solution on the sidelines.
I think your comparison is reasonable, just not quite perfect.
