AJ’s inconsistency, combined with the other rotation injuries/problems, are at the top of the list of reasons why, no matter what the Yanks’ final record is (after a pretty difficult schedule coming up in September), that it is unlikely that they will be the “favorites” to come out of the AL. That is, assuming they even make the playoffs (which is expected, but not a certainty).
