I got really scared for a minute. Turned out it was nothing. Wow.
Lee's agent has to be loving this. Teams publicly announcing bidding, which in turn should drive up the price and things for his sports star to consider. You would think people who run multi-million+ business enterprises would be smarter about how they do business.
(Of course I thought the same about the very public nature of Jeter's negotiations.)
