I apologize for the relatively stupid question, but despite reading the posts on Wilpons issue and how it impacts the Mets directly, I'm missing how this is "just so ugly for the game".
Would please explain why you feel this is going to be "ugly for the game" beyond how it obviously impacts what the Mets do in the near future?
I'm not accusing the Wilpons of anything illegal but isn't it just a bit strange that they got involved with two crooked investors and pulled out their money before both funds collapsed? I hope the Madoff lawsuit doesn't cripple the team's ability to sign players over the next few years.
does this imply that these humans have a financial liability to the bankruptcy estate?
