My new favorite "on pace" stat is Posada: only 81 hits in 153 games, but 54 home runs.
His BoSox equivalent has to be Jacoby Ellsbury, who's on pace to go 30/40 with a sub-.300 OBP. Would be the most punchless 30/30 season since Joe Carter circa 1987 (.264/.304/.480).
I'm trying to figure this out: should I be HAPPY or SAD that I have BOTH OF THEM on my fantasy team? (though Jorge qualified as catcher)
For home runs and stolen bases? Happy. Very happy.
I appreciate the passover humor
