i just want to say i think we were lucky as Yankee fans to have such a great hitting catcher, durable, heart and soul at the helm for so long. I don't know Jorge but he seems like a really good man. all the best to him and his family.

Well…I've never been a fan of his, but today's news conference made me feel bad about my unkind words about him. He's a class act from an era filled with the stuff in New York. Hip Hip Jorge. Best of luck to you.

Nope. Just a Yankee fan without rose colored glasses. :)

Dude was a borderline hall of famer who made yankee fans and tri state area (not just new yorkers) very proud…

I miss #21, #51, #46 and so many others from the last 15+ years…but Jorge is the first of the big 3 that is saying goodbye. For good or for bad, we fans live with these athletes on a somewhat personal level. They become part of our everyday experience and discussions and we feel Joy and Sadness based on their Success and Failure. So, Thank you Jorge for taking part in my sports enjoyment. Thank you for playing hard and trying to do well (which you did more often that we could have ever expected). Good luck in the future, see you on Jorge Posada Day when you get a monument and a retired number.
