Championship club (knock on wood), but they may have to trade from the surplus of SP for a DH by the deadline.

Would rather have maxwell then jones or ibanez … He has better speed and is a better fielder .

The fact that Kentucky won this year… guarantees us another ring.

Where did Chris Stewart come from?

They definitely have the talent to win it all this year, but the AL as a whole is loaded with potentially great teams. They have a good shot, but it will be a tough road. Looking forward to it! The competition this season should be awesome.

Nothing is guaranteed (obviously), but there is enough elite talent leading the team, and the team as a whole is very deep with good-but-less-than-elite talent at really every position. What makes a "championship team" changes from year to year based upon results, but in terms of process, I can't argue with what the Yankees are sending out there.

With the new wildcard thing , the regular season is looking more like the NHL/NBA regular season .And in Yankeeland where it's Ring or nothing , it looks like the NHL hot goalie scenerios. And there the baseball analogue is in the all too true words of the despised E. Weaver , it's pitching ( starting pitching ) and three run home runs . So let the exhibition season begin and see you in September . And BTW say it loud and say it proud " Red Sox Sukc "
