Brett Gardner with an injured elbow could have caught that fly ball… Miss ya Brett!

Discouraging night, about the only good thing to take from it is being able to say: "Girardi should have let Hughes finish the 6th" and actually mean it. Offense (complete with Martin as DH!) looked bad against a pitcher that looked very hittable and Nunez again cost us a significant numbers of runs with his defense. At least we have Nova tonight.

Mamma said there'd be days like this…

The other day you said A-Rod isn't ready for full-time dh. Won't argue that; however, I still think the Yankees ARE ready for a competent full-time DH who can hit – for power and/or average. A DH, hitting .167 in the AL East? Seriously? Might as well call up Pena for the utility infielder – that's pretty close to his numbers, AND he can play some defense.

Its time for Girardi to go. I'm tired of having the worst manager in the field, no matter the opponent. DH'ing a guy hitting well below the Mendoza line, a catcher no less (!), was the last straw.
