I seem to recall a note out of last night's game that either Tex or Girardi (or both) said he'd sit for "a couple of days" — which led to ESPN speculation that Swish would man first base during that time?
Heard on WFAN that Tex took a cortisone shot and will be re-evaluated on Friday, which would seem like he's out until at least then. If they can right the ship and win this series, they might extend that until the road trip. Last time this happened in 2009 he took a shot and went on a tear. Hope history repeats itself.
