Also Banuelos will be just 22 next season. This isn't 25-year old Dellin Betances flaming out and running out of time.
You know, I'm beginning to wonder if ANY of the so-called Killer B's from a few years ago (Brackman, Banuelos, and Betances) will ever see a major league roster, either here in NY or anywhere else. Brackman is gone (and a complete bust), Betances has regressed so badly he's been demoted to AA, and now Banuelos has in essence missed a entire year of development. There was a period of time where it looked as if the Yankees would finally develop their own starters and not have to rely on the free agent market. Sadly, it appears as if that may have been a pipe dream. I hope not, but it's hard not to think otherwise.
