    I assume it would be done now an called up in 5 days as a September callup. No way do they waive Jones!

      Can't hold off activating him that long.

    Why not send Joba down? He's not going to work out his issues sitting in the bullpen.

      Can't option him because he has five years service time. He would have to consent to any assignment to the minor leagues. And Joe Girardi indicated that they don't plan on optioning any pitchers to make room.
