  1. The sad thing is, every blind optimist looks at the schedule and repeats the mantra – the Yankees can shape their own destiny.

    Without realizing, that destiny may not be the one the fan is anticipating. As Jeter has been saying – its easy; win or stay home. Still keep thinking – these geezers are salaried – why not bow out, chill out, and enjoy the time off? After 160 games, that has to be a tempting option.
