Teixeira won’t be back for a while

William Tasker grew up in Bergenfield, New Jersey but has lived in New England since 1975 and in the far reaches of northern Maine since 1990. Tasker is the author of nine (non-baseball related) books and, besides writing here for three years, has written for his own site at www.passion4baseball.blogspot.com since 2003.

    Wait, how is Gardner going to dive for a ball or to second base if he has elbow problems?
    What if he aggravates it? Let's not be stupid, Cashman…

      Trust in their medical staff and council as they are the experts.

      He could really help with the SB's for when they need a runner for Jones/Chavy/raul and don't want (or can't) to use Nunez. He has wheels and can give them what their sorry old asses need…speed and havoc on the bases. Small ball for the win. Plus anything to get jones out of the game.
