A moment of silence please and then one final untuck while pouring one out for Sori.

The Yankees just saved themselves $12.5MM ($14MM minus the $1.5MM buyout). Thank you Scott Boras.

So the team has to pay the buyout even when HE'S the one bailing?

Dang, I really wish I could throw a baseball. Or hit a ball. Or chew gum and walk.

Good luck and God bless. He did a nice job for the Yanks.

It's also being reported Swisher will turn down the Yankees offer.

Great news. Definitely pour out some liquor for this.

Really… how much MORE does he think he can get?
Who else besides the Yankees can pay that much for 80 IP of a Closer?

It's probably similar to A-Rod and CC…not so much about more money for next season, but really about more years. He'd rather take 3 yrs/30M than one year at 14M.
