According to a report by Jayson Stark of ESPN, it looks like there will be a belated birthday present for Mariano Rivera in the form of a new deal for 2013. (Today is his 43rd birthday.)
The two sides have agreed on the parameters of a one-year deal, the official said, and spent Thursday trying to finish off final details of Rivera’s salary and incentives.
The report also says that Mo would probably earn $11-12M which would be a pay cut but the deal would have incentives that add up to the $15M he made last season.

If only I could get a cut of every contract I correctly guessed the terms of…
Zero % is a cut…
I'm glad he's coming back.
