Quick hit: Welcome back, Clay Rapada!

It’s been an interesting last couple of weeks for Clay Rapada.

First he’s DFA, then he’s released outright and now he’s been signed to a Minor League deal with the Yankees. But according to Dan Barbarisi, Rapada cannot return to the big league club until May 3 at the earliest.

Rapada, who was battling some bursitis in his shoulder was going to start the year on the DL anyway before all of this stuff began. Looks like he’ll probably be heading to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre but the Yankees would have to do some maneuvering to fit him onto their 40-man.

Hmm, who could go? Cody Eppley? Boone Logan?

Stay tuned.
