Quick hit: Jeter cleared for baseball activities

Derek Jeter passed all of his medical tests today in North Carolina and has been cleared for baseball activities and running. He already had been throwing and fielding balls hit directly to him but this is a good sign. No setbacks in this latest part of his recovery.

The doctor said the bone in his ankle was healing nicely. I was kind of hoping that Jeter had top secret surgery where his ankle was replaced with a bionic one. No such luck.
