Quick hit: A-Rod hitless in first rehab appearance

Alex Rodriguez, batting second for the Charleston RiverDogs tonight, was 0-2 after hitting into a double play in his first at bat and striking out looking in his second at bat.

He stayed to sign autographs after his night was over.

Of course, people are already catastrophizing the appearance and declaring him dead. Yes, after one rehab start. Oh and I should add that two bunts were hit in his direction while he was playing third base and both resulted in infield singles but I’ll cut him some slack on the first one, it was the first batter of the game.
