Yankees In On Justin Morneau

The Yankees are jumping back into the playoff race with a drastically different lineup. Unfortunately, with Travis Hafner on the the DL for the foreseeable future, the team is lacking a left-handed power bat. That’s especially important when you’re playing in Yankee Stadium. So who else would they look for other than Justin Morneau.

With rosters expanding in September, it makes sense to bring Morneau onto the team as a platoon DH. He could hit show off some serious power in a much friendlier stadium. The left-hander is currently hitting .281/.342/.473 with 12 of his 14 home runs coming off of right-handed pitchers.
