Is Brian McCann on the verge of signing with the Yanks? Why, yes he is! (UPDATED)

It sure looks like it!

According to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News, Brian McCann is not signing with the Rangers and is about to sign with the Yankees:

McCann, according to two major league sources, has ruled the Rangers out and, according to a source, is on the verge of a long-term deal with the New York Yankees. McCann’s agent, BB Abbott, said he could not confirm that his client had agreed to terms with any team.

McCann, who turns 30 in January, batted .256/.336/.461/.796 with 20 home runs and 57 RBI for the Braves in 2013 and has played with them his entire career.

UPDATE Hmmm Ken Rosenthal just tweeted:
