Swift Recap: Yankees 4, Phillies 0

I feel like I need a cigarette after watching Masahiro Tanaka‘s splitter. My goodness.

The good news about today’s game? The starters – CC Sabathia, Hiroki Kuroda and Tanaka – all looked good in their six innings of work as so did Dellin Betances and Cesar Cabral in their three innings combined.

The starters’ lines:
CC – 2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K
HIROK – 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K
TANAK – 2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 3 K

Ichiro Suzuki and Francisco Cervelli each hit RBI singles and Adonis Garcia drove in two runs.

Derek Jeter scored on Cervelli’s single and looked fine running the bases. He also participated in a nifty double play in the second play and looked no worse for the wear.

Tanaka’s highlights from MLB.com:
