Thursday Night Open Thread: 3/13/14

Greetings and welcome to tonight’s open thread.

In case you missed it, the Yankees played a pair of split squad games. Michael Pineda started for the team who stayed behind in Tampa and even though he didn’t have his best stuff, he still fanned five Orioles in today’s win at Steinbrenner Field.

Jacoby Ellsbury was part of the squad that headed over to Clearwater to play the Phillies. That squad lost but Ellsbury hit his first home run of the Spring.

Both William and I participated in a Yankee roundtable of sorts for C70 At The Bat, a St. Louis blog. It’s interesting to see the different answers from everyone in regards to how they’d rate the offseason and what they expect to see this season.

One more reminder, Domenic, E.J. and yours truly recorded Episode 9 of the It’s About The Yankees, Stupid podcast last night. Click here to listen.

Enjoy your evening!
