Jeter’s First Walk off: 9/21/96

Since 2014 will be Derek Jeter‘s last season, we thought it would be fun to revisit some of his milestone moments.

A lot has been said about his first hit which happened on May 30, 1995 against Seattle but what about his first walk off hit? Well, that happened during his rookie season on September 21, 1996 against the Red Sox in Yankee Stadium.

I’ll admit I don’t actually recall this moment so it was fun to look back at it.

Hopefully as we go on throughout the season, there will be more Jeter moments that we all can recall and that some of us may have been at the Stadium or on the road to witness.
