Quick hit: Tex (more than likely) to the DL, Romine up from Triple A

This just came across the wires (a.k.a Twitter). It looks like Mark Teixeira is headed to the DL and Austin Romine has been called up to replace him.

The writers are saying it’s not official yet but it looks to be heading in that direction.

UPDATE 11:03 A.M.: Joe Girardi has confirmed that Tex has been placed on the DL.

UPDATE 11:08 A.M.:: Per Dan Barbarisi – Girardi confirms Cervelli is backup 1B option, Solarte too. Kelly Johnson starts for foreseeable future.
