Quick Hits: Robertson Activated, Cabral To Triple-A, Hensley Throws A Bullpen Session

The Yankees have officially activated David Robertson from the disabled list. He’ll be available to pitch tonight against the Red Sox, and after Nova blew up on Saturday and the long 12 inning game on Sunday, the Yankees needed the extra arm.

Cesar Cabral cleared waivers the last few days, and the Yankees have outrighted him to Triple-A. He no longer has a spot on the 40-man roster, and the Yankees get to keep the left-hander in their system, so good news there.

2012 first-round pick Ty Hensley announced on Twitter that he threw a bullpen today. Hensley hasn’t pitched since the year he was drafted due to a hip surgery in 2013, and then he suffered a hernia earlier this year. The Yankees will continue to take it slow with Hensley, but at some point they’ll have to push the 20-year-old right-hander into real games again.
