Am I being a bit hyperbolic here, with a pinch of pessimism? Probably. Okay, definitely. At the same time, however, does anyone truly believe in Hiroki Kuroda and … well … the rotating cast of misfits filling out the last three slots in the rotation? It may be a bit premature to worry about Kuroda, I suppose, but the fact remains that he has been mediocre to poor in the majority of his starts thus far – and this, on the heels of a 6.56 ERA in his last eight starts in 2013.
Here’s hoping my regular dose of Tanaka will take the pain and doubt away, at least for tonight.
