Friday Afternoon Open Thread: 6/20/14

Welcome to the Friday afternoon open thread.

Your Yankees are 7-2 in their last nine games and are now only 1 1/2 games behind the division leading Blue Jays who they just sent to Cincinnati on a giant broom thanks to a three-game sweep.

So what can you talk about in this open thread? Oh lots of things. But first, I’d like to remind everyone to be respectful of each other and to be respectful of the people writing on this site. We’ve had a few incidents in the past few days where people have attacked each other and have attacked our writers and we simply will not tolerate that sort of behavior.

You can disagree with someone without resorting to name calling. You can have spirited debates without insulting the other person’s intelligence. You can also point out an error that has been made on the blog and be nice about it. Mistakes happen, people are human, sometimes we’re tired when we’re writing, sometimes we transpose numbers and think they look fine after we’ve looked at our post 30 times. The bottom line is that stuff happens. I’m pretty sure you’re all not perfect and that you’ve screwed up from time to time so when pointing out our mistakes on the blog, try not to be so obnoxious about it.

With that said, here’s what’s going on in the world of Yankee baseball:

Enjoy your afternoon.
