Quick Hit: Sabathia Could Miss The Rest Of The Season

Well, this isn’t happy news at all.

As you all know, CC Sabathia woke up to swelling in his right knee the morning after his rehab start in Trenton but now it has been revealed that he will be going to visit Dr. Andrews.

There is a distinct possibility that Sabathia could miss the rest of the season because he may have to have microfracture surgery on his bum knee. When the news first surfaced, Joe Girardi was asked if this meant that CC would be done for the season and he told the media that was “fair to say.”

Even though we didn’t know what to expect from Sabathia upon his return, it is still very disappointing news and brings up even more questions with regards to the rotation and what the Yankees can do to improve it before the trade deadline.
