Spring Training Game Twelve: St Louis Cardinals 7, Yankees 6

Oh well, you can't win them all. The Yankees dropped another Spring Training game, this time to the Cardinals in Jupiter but at least it was an exciting, back and forth that was won on a walk-off single by, um, Adron Chambers!

Actually, it's not that great, the Yankees had leads and kept losing them. They led 2-0, then after St. Louis tied it, they pulled ahead 3-2 and when St. Louis pulled ahead 4-3, Austin Romine tied it 4-4 in the top of the eighth on an RBI single. The Yankees even went ahead 6-4 in the top of the ninth.

In the bottom of the ninth, Kolten Wong hit a two-run shot off Kelvin Perez to tie the game at six. Then Chambers hit his walk-off single off Josh Spence to win the game for the Cards.

Brett Gardner was held hitless so his Spring Training average is now down to .500 (gasp!).

The Yankees will stay in Jupiter to face the Miami Marlins tomorrow.
