The Farm Report 6/10/13

Scranton's game was postponed and Trenton had a day off. Charleston drops a doubleheader to Greenville: 7-3 and 1-0. Charleston didn't have a good day. They dropped a doubleheader to the Greenville Drive and those losses caused them to drop out of first place in the Southern Division and into second behind the Savannah Sand Gnats.

The first game was a resumption of a game postponed by rain on June 5. That game was suspended because of rain while Greenville was leading in the third inning.

That game on June 5 was in Charleston, this game was in Greenville with the RiverDogs as the "home" team. Charleston tied the game at two in the sixth inning but those good feelings were lost in the next half inning when Greenville scored two to go up 4-2. Charleston cut it to 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh but couldn't score more than three and Greenville scored three more in the top of the ninth to put the game away.

The second game was a pitcher's duel between the clubs and only lasted seven innings. They will be playing another doubleheader tomorrow.

Tampa loses 3-2 to Charlotte This game started off well for Tampa when they scored three runs in the top of the first inning off Charlotte starter Ryan Carpenter but that's all they'd get against him. The Yankees led off the game with five hits and finished the game with six total. After that shaky first inning Carpenter pitched five scoreless, one-hit innings, to keep the game within striking distance for Charlotte.

Tampa was done in by a five-run bottom of the fifth inning by the Stone Crabs.
