Game 89: The Beginning of the End (of the First Half)

On the heels of the team's most successful week in what feels like ages - a week in which the team went 6-1 and took two out of three from a division rival - the Yankees look to finish out the remainder of the first half on a high note. Tonight marks the first game in a four-game set with the Royals, to be followed by a three-game stint against the Twins, with all seven games in Yankee Stadium. The Yankees are a combined 7-0 against the Royals and Twins last year, and it would be lovely to see more of the same - particularly as they open the second half with ten games in ten days, against the Red Sox, Rangers, and Rays.
