Game 106: Pettitte vs Greinke in L.A.

Okay, this is sort of cool, well, if you're like me and you like numbers. Tonight's starters, Andy Pettitte and Zack Greinke have the same three numbers in their ERAs but in a different order. Pettitte is sitting at 4.39 and Greinke at 3.49. Of course, we'd rather it be the reverse but what can you do?

So the Yankees are coming off an iffy week that saw them split a four-game series in Texas and lose two out of three at home to Tampa. One positive is that the game they won was the finale so they're riding into L.A. on a high note. And the fact that the "old guard" of Derek Jeter, Ichiro Suzuki, Alfonso Soriano and Mariano Rivera are the ones who led them to victory is a pretty awesome thing.

Tonight, Pettitte will be facing:

1. Carl Crawford (L) LF
2. Yasiel Puig (R) RF
3. Adrian Gonzalez (L) 1B
4. Hanley Ramirez (R) SS
5. A.J. Ellis (R) C
6. Andre Ethier (L) CF
7. Juan Uribe (R) 3B
8. Mark Ellis (R) 2B

And Greinke will face:
