This is the story that never ends, never ends, this is the story that never ends, never ends... I hadn't even had my coffee when I first saw the report which alleges that someone in Alex Rodriguez's camp leaked documents to Yahoo! Sports linking both Ryan Braun and Francisco Cervelli to Anthony Bosch.
Citing two sources with direct knowledge of the matter, "60 Minutes" reported that member of A-Rod's team obtained unredacted documents and leaked them. That leak came after the Miami New Times first published redacted documents accusing Rodriguez of using performance-enhancing drugs. Braun and Cervelli's names were redacted in the Miami New Times documents.
Of course, A-Rod's lawyer is denying everything:
"The allegations are untrue and are another attempt to harm Alex -- this time by driving a wedge between Alex and other players in the game," Rodriguez lawyer David Cornwell said in a statement to "60 Minutes." "While Alex focuses on baseball and repeatedly states that he is going to respect the appeal process, the drumbeat of false allegations continues."
I honestly don't know what to think about this but I'm still not going to accuse Alex of anything without concrete proof. Plus, the accusation is that someone in his camp, not Alex himself, leaked this information.
If it comes out that it did happen and that he was actually behind it, I will be very disappointed because the guy clearly doesn't know how to get out of his own way.
