According to Ken Davidoff of the New York Post, the Yankees are closing in on a Minor League deal with Scott Sizemore. Sizemore is primarily a second baseman but if he makes the team for 2014, he could shift to third depending on how the Yankees align their infield a.k.a. where Kelly Johnson lands. Sizemore has experience at third base but has had injury issues of late, including two separate tears in his left ACL in back-to-back seasons.
Sizemore, who is 29, was last with the Oakland Athletics and he's a .239/.329/.382 career hitter with 14 home runs.
