Quick hit: Yanks to Extend Qualifying Offer to Robertson

Jack Curry of the Network YES tweeted that the Yankees will extend a qualifying offer of $15.3M to David Robertson and that the team hopes to keep him. Robertson had a strong 2014 campaign as the Yankee closer posting a 3.08 ERA (inflated because of a couple of bad outings sprinkled into an otherwise nice year). He saved 39 games in 44 chances, and had 96 strike outs with 23 walks in 64 1/3 innings.

This would be Robertson's first foray into free agency, if he rejects the QA, and it will be interesting to see if he decides to test the waters what teams will offer him.
