RECAP(S): Yankees win! Yankees lose!

Home game recap: The Yankees beat the Pirates 6-2! Hooray!

Michael Pineda continued his strong spring with a 5 1/3 inning, one run, six hit performance. He also added to his strikeout total with 6 and he didn't surrender a walk.

Alex Rodriguez played first and did a nice job with a couple of scoops because Stephen Drew can't throw from the shortstop position, a caught pop foul and a toss to Pineda for an out.

Jacoby Ellsbury was 1-3 and the kids helped the Yankees in the later innings by scoring three in the sixth and three in the seventh.

Drew, Austin Romine, Rob Refsnyder, Chris Young and Garrett Jones all had two hits apiece.

Away game recap:

The Yankees lost to the Tigers 3-2. Boo.

J.R. Murphy and Slade Heathcott both had two hits and other than, not much happened for the Yankees.

One of Heathcott's hits was an RBI single and Kyle Roller hit a sacrifice fly to score the Yankees' first run.

Bryan Mitchell made the start and got the loss. He pitched five innings and gave up three runs on five hits with two walks and six strikeouts.
