I went to bed relatively early last night (being in bed before 1 a.m. is an early night for me) so I missed the following tweet when it happened and discovered it when I woke up at 6:52 a.m. this morning.

The reason I made my original statement was because Mark Feinsand of the Daily News had both Coney and A-Rod as guests on his Yankees podcast. It's a great episode and not just because of the guests but because of their baseball knowledge. Listening to Alex Rodriguez talk about baseball is pretty wonderful and he had very insightful things to say about Luis Severino. So did Coney for that matter.
I like when current and former players actually know what they're talking about and when their love of baseball comes through the conversation. It's refreshing. Usually former players will lament about the days of old and complain about some newfangled way of doing things or talking about things (i.e. advanced stats). Not Coney! He's embracing everything that's new and he's even trying to get other people in on it.
Anyway, here's a link to that podcast.
And speaking of podcasts, I'm pretty sure the IIATMS podcast is making a comeback tonight so if you have any questions for us, leave them down below or tweet me at either @StaceGots or at the main account @IIATMS.
