I don't have much to add here other than this is one of my favorite baseball stories of the year. Ken Rosenthal tells the story of Yankee 9th round pick Tim Lynch, who has been compiling a massive collection of autographs, including over 100 Miguel Cabrera autographs. Now, he's a professional baseball player.
Most of the stories we hear about baseball players these days are either negative, mechanical (dry scouting reports), or some kind of inspirational but sort of sad story. This one is just pure fun. If you're having a rough day, read about Tim Lynch. If you're not, read it anyway. Nice job, Yankees.
