Game 106: Tanaka vs. deGrom

The Yankees are undefeated in the post-#TeamSell era, which undoubtedly made some folk angry that they sold at all. Regardless of that silliness, there is a fun lack of weight to the remainder of this season, and I am curious to see what it brings. I, for one, would like to see Gary Sanchez and Tyler Austin get a shot at DH and 1B, respectively, and for right field to be filled by some rotation of Ben Gamel, Jake Cave, and Mason Williams. It's an exciting time for those with an eye towards the future, as there is no real downside to giving the players in the upper minors (particularly those that may be Rule 5 elibigible) a chance to sink or swim.

Here's tonight's lineup:

  1. Bett Gardner, LF
  2. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF
  3. Mark Teixeira, 1B
  4. Brian McCann, C
  5. Didi Gregorius, SS
  6. Starlin Castro, 2B
  7. Chase Headley, 3B
  8. Aaron Hicks, RF
  9. Masahiro Tanaka, SP

The first pitch is scheduled for 7:10 PM.
